The Gumaelius’ live an imaginative life, raising their four children in a coastal region of Washington State where they have built their home, studios, barns and gardens. They have a fluid working relationship, trading roles constantly in their artwork as well as their home life. In this environment Robin and John record their stories onto the beautiful and unique sculptural works they create, breathing life and conversation into these clay and metal sculptures.
